Spoke with customer over the phone. Wanted ball park figure for single wide system replacement. Only staying in single wide another couple years and does not want to invest converting over to package system.
Upon arrival customer stated system is blowing warm air and compressor is not starting. Tech found common wire left unplugged from common terminal on run capacitor. Tech plugged wire back on and started compressor. Amp draws are within spec, system is back up and cooling. No charge per office.
Performed first time ESA. Removed leaf’s and scrubbed off accumulated grime of the inside and outside the system. Tested system is heat and cool, indoor blower motor sounded like the inner bearings were starting to loose lubrication, recommended to monitor and recheck during the next ESA visit for proper operation. Amp draws within specs. Indoor evaporator coil was clogged up with dog hair, grime and some insulation, tech suspects rodents are the cause of the insulation. Recommended UV light to improve air quality and removed the remaining growth from the indoor coil, costumer declined for now. System operated in heat and cool as it should upon departure, tech was unable to gather delta T due to dogs inside the home.
Tech found no difficulties at this time. System is heating properly. I’m
GAS TANK IS EMPTY CAUSING DUAL FUEL SYSTEM TO FAULT OUT WHEN AUXILIARY HEAT IS ENERGIZED. GAS COMPANY IS SCHEDULED IN THE MORNING. CUSTOMER WILL KEEP SET-POINT LOWER AND RESET AS NEEDED UNTIL GAS IS FILLED.
Full service maintenance on a Goodman package heat pump, changed filters, washed coils and cabinet. No heat strips, checked motor amps, capacitor, T-stat.
Upon arrival customer stated system has not been cooling. Upon inspection tech found a frog on capacitor that had shorted between herm and common terminal not allowing compressor to come on. Tech removed frog and tested capacitor, capacitor is still testing within spec. Tech restored power to system and tested in cooling mode, system is now cooling properly. Customer invested in service agreement for two visits. Need to call and schedule first visit. Tech collected $358.68 by card.
Tech arrived and found overflow switch had water in it, tech cleared water and drain line, tech also found compressor not running due to failed 35mfd capacitor, tech replaced capacitor and unit cut on, tech then performed one system ESA, tech found no other issues after capacitor, tech spoke with customer about renewal of contract and customer , system is back on and working properly at this time.
Performed esa on one system did not have a 14x24x1 filter
Tech cleaned system thoroughly, recommended replacing UV bulb. Customer declined at this time. Tech found no further challenges. System is operating properly.
